Copper Point, Long Island (revisited)

We sailed past this in 2004 on our way to Clear Island but they were pre-digital days for me and I got no decent shots. This time, we took a boat trip from Schull to the Fastnet, passing Copper Point on the eastern end of Long Island on the way. There are probably views from the coast road towards Goleen and it can be plainly seen from Schull Harbour in the bottom photo.

The unlit beacon was erected in 1864 but it took a further 113 years for a light to be established on it. It is 16m high.
