Mizen Head Lighthouse revisited
Six years after we were down in West Cork, my daughter went back and took these photographs. The actual light is on top of the white octagonal building. These lights lie just to the seaward of the building.
A spectacular setting, even the path to the lighthouse must have taken an age to construct!
As Neal says, there's not much of a lighthouse there. Because it sits perched on a cliff, there's no need for a tall tower, just a house with a bit of an oul' light on top.
Great spot... now I will have to go back through my old photos, cause I know I visited there a number of years back.. Cheers
ReplyDeleteI was there once years ago, and sadly don't believe I have any photos, for some reason.
